At $90, the Amazon Kindle is their base model product, you could read your books and even play audiobooks from the Audible store. There’s also built in lights that allows you to read in the dark.
Adding another $50, you could get the Kindle Paperwhite at $140. You will be paying for a bigger and better screen, crispier texts, longer battery life and waterproofing. Quite a steal if you ask us!
If you are willing to spend $190 for the Paperwhite Signature Edition, it’ll give you storage space at 32GB (compared to the standard 8GB) and also wireless charging with USB Type-C charging(compared to microUSB in standard models).
The top of the line model, the Amazon Kindle Oasis comes in at $270. Which many agree is quite expensive. Before the Signature edition came about, the Oasis was the only device with the type-C port. The most unique feature of the Oasis are the buttons on the sides, which allows you to flip pages by pressing them, allowing for a more convenient one-handed reading experience.
We think that the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite would suffice for majority of readers, and would recommend that as a first purchase or even a gift!
